Alejandra Collazos, born in Hollywood, Florida, earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from New World School of the Arts.

She developed a passion for art at an early age, which has guided her creative practice throughout her life. Inspired by the artists and makers in her family, Collazos has explored a diverse range of media, including video art, stitch work, sculpture, and traditional drawing.

Drawing influence from her mother’s craft of sewing, she expanded beyond two-dimensional work by integrating her portrait-realistic graphite drawings with fabric, creating soft sculptures that merge sewing and fine art.
